A one-week wonder on AT40 back in the summer of 1991 and didn't even make the R&R CHR chart. Too bad, as it was a great dance song. The first time I heard this song was in mid-July, 1991. I had a headache, so I decided to lie down and sleep it off. I had the radio on in the room and when "Got A Love For You" came on, I was in the stage of sleep where you dream and can hear sounds, so I could hear the song and was having the craziest dream. Back when I was in eighth grade, I made a piggy bank in a ceramics class and the legs were sort of lopsided. I must have thought that it made the pig look like it was dancing, for in my dream, I was watching the video for "Got A Love For You" and it started out with that pig dancing on a platform. Then, I began waking up and I was convinced that I had fallen asleep while watching videos. I was still in a weird stage of sleep, where I thought I was fully awake but I couldn't move. I struggled to wake up because I wanted to see the title of the song before the video was over. But as I woke up all the way, I realized that I had just fallen asleep with the radio going. Fortunately, this was about when the song was coming out and was played on the radio station I listened to quite often. And, as I said, I think the song was great and think it's a shame that the song never got past number 40.

Yes, I remember this song, although just barely. I remember it being uptempo, and very catchy. I was likewise surprised that it didn't do very well. Must have sold better than it got played, for it never charted on the R&R chart.

Yeah this was great early 90s dance music. I think this was a staple in my top 10 for a month or so. They had a good early techno track called "dont you want my love" but IIRC it wasnt on their album, the techno mix was only on a 12inch.

I actually owned the song however on NY Eve 1991, when they did a "hot mix" special on KGGG (Hit 100) in Rapid City, SD. Heaven forbid they ever play that kind of show again! Anyway I recorded it from that mix tape I believe I still have and loved it ever since. It recieved quite a bit of airplay on BET.

I love it! I remember seeing that video alot. What was the video like? (and don't even tell me that it had a clay pig dancing in it!)

What was the video like? (and don't even tell me that it had a clay pig dancing in it!) Watch the video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YC9RVhtsAwThe single was remixed for its single release ("Hurley's Radio"), Steve "Silk" Hurley did the honors. The mix of choice in the clubs was "Hurley's House Mix". I was never a fan of the album version. In fact, Big Beat quickly reissued their debut album, and tacked "Hurley's House Mix" as the last track. I still have the cassette single somewhere. It's criminal that the single only reached No. 40... it should've been Top 10! A lot of people don't realize that Yavahn (Joanne "Yavahn" Thomas) was one of the girls from Jomanda. She had a HUGE worldwide hit with Ruffneck, "Everybody Be Somebody", as well as their follow up "Move Your Body". (The other two girls in Jomanda were Renee Washington and Cheri Williams). Sadly, Yavahn lost her three year battle with colon cancer, and passed away in 2003. RIP. :(

The "Hurley's House Mix" is a definite minor house classic.

This is still an incredible jam! I love the powerful vocals combined with Steve "Silk" Hurley's fabulous production.

This was played a lot on my top 40 station, WBBM-FM "B96" in Chicago and the urban station WGCI also played it during mix shows. One of my all-time favorite 90s dance/house records.

I really like it. Nice song to work out to.
Lol, the intro also sounds similar to Britney's "Baby One More Time" intro.
