This ranks right up there as one of my favorite Aerosmith songs.
Just got a used (promo) CD with a couple of mixes of the song. Couldn't really understand why there is an AC mix of this song as well since it doesn't sound much different.

This is an awesome song. I am not a huge fan of Aerosmiths music from about 93 on but this song is great.

Out of Aerosmith's fairly recent songs, this was among their best.

As I recall, this song didn't get too high on the charts. But I thought it was pretty cool.
Wasn't this song from 1997?

I liked this better than "Falling in Love..." (as well as the other singles from this album) and with as much as MTV played it, I was surprised when it didn't do much on the Top 40.

Whew. Found a thread on this song. :)
This ranks up there with my other two favorite Aerosmith songs (Dream On and Rag Doll). I love this song.

On the whole I'm not really a fan of their '90s ballads...or most of their post mid-'90s material for that matter. But I've always liked this song and "Crazy" for some reason.

I loved this video!!!! 1997 was the year I got really into music...and I constantly watched MTV...and this video was on all the time!! I loved it!!! I remember reading that there was a bitter dispute over who would direct this video between Aerosmith and the guy who directed their videos from '93/'94 (I forget his name). I think a lawsuit was involved...something about supposedly he had a contract to direct the video but someone else did (all I remember is the second guy's first name was Andy.). I've only seen a 30-second clip of the video...and even that is pretty bizarre.

Actually Marty Callner was the name of the director of the videos that Alicia Silverstone was in. I have no idea who directed this one.
What was the storyline of this video? I just remember there being a dorky guy and a really cute blonde.

What was the storyline of this video? I just remember there being a dorky guy and a really cute blonde. Never mind, I just googled it. The dork (played by Seann William Scott of "American Pie" fame) plays the dork who tries to create a dream girl with his computer. The girls (one of whom is Eva Mendes from the current movie "Hitch") all diss him. He then finds out that a hottie in his class (played by Alexandra Holden who was the student David Scwimmer was banging in "Friends") wants him and they end up together. Talk about a great cast for a video.

Yeah, MTV really played the hell out of it...surprising considering I harldy ever heard it on the radio. The dork was played by Sean William Scott?! Lol, I never knew that before.

good, but not their best 90's ballad. It also reached #51 on the Hot 100

Out of all their singles post-"Get a Grip", this is probably my favorite. But I wouldn't make room for it on an Best of Aerosmith compilation.

One or other song notwithstanding, the Nine Lives era was pretty much the one that began the quality downslide we've been seeing from them, Honkin' On Hobo excepted. And this song is a pretty (ugly) good (bad) example of it, since it's as generic as can be.
