First Verse: How did she fall in love, tired and shaken up? Could be hanging around's enough? No one was fooling round or told about the sensing sensibilities in moving on.
Bridge: Oh though it seems that we're living life did you fail when found out you're paying the price. Hope it wasn't lost in an honest truth, hope the past doesn't break all that we've been through. Every little thing that you did was right but who knows what you did on the day you cried endlessy oh you cried endlessy
Chorus:Take a Message from my love(Repeat 7x)
Second Verse: What could I say to you? Oh. When making the waves was left unconscious, I didn't mean to tell you why oh why. But you harbored up defenses and you're making it hard to bring that hope back for you and I.
Bridge: Oh though it seems that we're living life, did you fail when you found out you're paying the price? Hope it wasn't lost in an honest truth, hope the past doesn't break all that we've been through. Every little thing that you did was right but who knows what you did on the day you've cried endlessy, oh you've cried endlessy.
Chorus: Take a Message from my love(Repeat 7x)
Bridge Repeats again
Chrous Repeat until the end.

Love this song. It flopped hard core. His second single Rocksteady flopped because Urban AC was still stuck on Take A Message. Rock Steady was released in November 2002 eventhough it was sent to radio in June 2002 in the midst of Take A Message's Reign at Urban AC. KJLH used to show more love to Take A Message but gave Rock Steady sub part spins in the summer of 2002.

This song is excellent. It was way ahead of its time.

This song is excellent. It was way ahead of its time. I actually thought the whole album sounded a lot like 70s Marvin Gaye.
