The debut single off "The Way I Feel", which garnered success in Canada.
I'm still confused as to why this didn't do anything in the US. Definitely my favourite song by him.
Looking forward to hearing his next album.

Every time this comes on VH1 Soul (once every 3 weeks or so) I think of when I used to watch the MuchMusic Countdown.
Decent song.

I like it, since it was so relaxing & not like anything I'd heard before. It almost made the smooth jazz chart (#1 N&A) and even got spins on a few AAA stations.

Didnt he just repeat the same thing over and over in this song? It was kind of amusing to me.

Blue-eyed soul at its best. Blame Motown and thier shitless promotion for his early demise.

His stuff was all over the radio in Halfax, sadly though I can't remember what any of his songs sound like

Is he coming back ever??? "Take A Message" and "Rock Steady" were great songs. Motown is where talented musicians go to die. As someone said, they are terrible at promoting their music.
I've seen so many good artists crumble on that label... Zhane anyone?

I really, really enjoyed his album. Based on hearing Take A Message one time, I went out and bought it. I was rather surprised we never really heard anything else from him. I think I'm gonna find this cd and put it back in my car now!
The Mike Rizzo mix of this was quite fun as well.
Peace, Ben

I'm pretty sure the album took him like 7 or 8 years to record. He recorded a digital single about a year and a half ago for the fans. There's no word on a new album release date although I know he's working on one.

Yeah this song only got to #47 on the Billboard R&B charts...I'm guessing he was just too ahead of his time...look how well Robin Thicke is doing now with a smiliar style...

I haven't this song or album in years. I remember my step dad playing it all the time several years ago. Good song.

Does the name ring a bell? I always wonder why he wasn't successful because that was a great song. Take A Message was top 10 hit on the Urban AC charts in March 2002 with support from Urban AC outlets including KJLH Los Angeles. Do you like that song as much as I do.

Before Robin Thicke, he had the most soul for a white guy. This was cute and catchy... VH1 played this alot.

The Way I Feel was my favorite album of the 00s. It was phenomenal. He's immensely talented. He wrote and produced the entire album himself. He played every single instrument on the album, and there were almost 20 different instruments used in the recording of this album. Unfortunately he disappeared into complete reclusion a year after this album was released. No one knows where he is or what he's been doing since 2003.
As for "Take A Message," it's actually one of my least favorite tracks on the album but I still love it. My favorites on the album are "The Mind's Eye" and "The Second One".

I remember my sister being obsessed with this, lmao. It's a pretty good song though, always wonder why he sorta just vanished though. I feel like listening to this now, it's been a long time.
