This was one of my fave dance tracks of 2001 (most heard it in 2002). The voice of the female vocalist was very hypnotic and soothing for some reason I can't pinpoint.
And this was a minor hit on the Hot 100. I forget how high it went up to, but if I remember correctly, it might have made it into the top 50.

Great song! I remember it climbed pretty quickly up the R&R pop chart, looking Top Ten bound... then hit a brick wall at #17 and tumbled back down.

I loved this song. There was another of their singles that I liked even more - In The End, I think it was called.

Nice song. I wish it would've done much better.

That seemed to be a pattern with dance songs a few years ago. Remember "Better Off Alone"? It had a similar run. This song was ok, but I got bored with it after a while.

Hell yeah! Loved this one...reminds me of back when 97-3 KissFM first launched, this was one of the tracks I remember hearing a good bit then. Too bad it hit a wall...but 2002 was a VERY good year, relatively speaking, for dance music at the Top 40 format.

I had a love-hate "relationship" with this song; at first I hated it, then I began liking it. Either way, it was one of the best songs on 2001.

Gotta go with the Riva Mix of this one. And recently there was a mash-up of this with Deepest Blue's Give It Away. Amazing!
Peace, Ben

Not only do I still love this song now, I did back in 2002. I always love looking back at that personal chart because there was a good variety of music out at the time. Although people gave that year a negative impression, I thought a lot of the more dance-leaning songs on the chart were really good at the time.

The two songs sounded like they were made for each other. I wish that had been given a wide release.

Q102 in Philly played this song NONSTOP. That's when they advertized them playing all different genres of music INCLUDING DANCE!!!! *GASP* Reminds me of 5th grade. :/

Great POP song. And the dance remixes (from which the John Creamer & Stephane K was the one that really took off here in the clubs; Portugal's club crowd has been having this love affair with prog/tribal house for years that just bypasses my fancy), the way I see it, didn't exactly enhance that quality the original definitely had. But what's really a shame is the fact that the rest of their material was as forgettable as it came. Still, this song is a good reminder of how US radio and music TV channels could use a little more dance music in them. But I guess the disco backlash and its effects are still too lasting for this scenario to change any time soon, right?... Oh, and isn't Nadia Ali one damn pretty girl? ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif)

I still love this. It had many, many remixes on the various editions of the singles. The lead singer Nadia Ali even re-recorded it herself and Avicii produced a remix for it. I still listen to the Riva, John Creamer & Stephane K, and Armin Van Buuren remixes. The Riva one was an uplifting Eurodance/Hi Nrg styled Trance mix whereas the Creamer K one was darker and techy, and Armin made it into a big room Trance mix.

I mean, you couldn't escape this in New York. But Nadia Ali was a dream: a modern Muslim American womanβand a Queens native!βbearing midriff, appearing both aloof and confident in her many club and televised appearances not long after 9/11 as she promoted one of the sexiest dance records for the first decade of the new millennium. Meant the world to me.
