I was just reading the topic about A-Ha's second hit "The Sun Always Shines On TV." This was their second and final top 40 hit.
In early 1987, they released "Cry Wolf." This is by far my favorite A-Ha song. It only reached number 50 on the Hot 100, but thankfully our local radio station played it. I don't believe they ever had another hot 100 hit.

I don't remember this song.
I remember they nearly had another Hot 100 hit in 1993 with "Dark Is The Night" (I think I heard that one on Future Hits).

I like "Cry Wolf", but I think it could have used another verse or two. Too much "cry wolf, time to worry now" at the end of the song... I remember they nearly had another Hot 100 hit in 1993 with "Dark Is The Night" (I think I heard that one on Future Hits). Dark Is The Night made it to #111 on the Bubbling Under Singles chart.

I like this record just as well. It was pretty huge hit in Europe. I used to see this video clip numerous times on the SKY channel and The Super Channel. It also brings me some memories that are unforgettable. I was sooo excited when AFN (Armed Forces Radio Network) radio based in Frankfurt, Germany played it. I was staying home sick from school with the chicken pox when this was on the radio.
They released a few more uncharted singles during the 80s such as "I'm Losing You" (before "Cry Wolf"), and theme to "The Living Daylights" (which I believed for sure would be US smash hit since it was a James Bond movie song).

"Cry Wolf' had an interesting video too. Good song - I also like their new one "Analogue (All I Want)".

This was the third and final A Ha single to chart in America, peaking at a lowly #50. It's from their second album "Scoundrel Days".
It's pure 80's but I think it's brilliant. Really dramatic with an irresistible chorus. "Cry wolf, OOOH!"
