INXS was one of my favorite groups back in the 80s. During that decade (which was pretty much devoid of any good, creative rock music) they were like a ray of sunshine with their unique, dance-rock sound and fun lyrics. This song was no exception. The band was obviously having a great time recording this outstanding cover of the Easybeats' original. Hard to say which version is best, but I think this one had the more irresistible beat. I haven't heard the original in many years, I've looked for it but haven't been able to find it.
Wha'cha think?

I really like this song. :)
Featured in the movie The Lost Boys, btw.

I loved Inxs. I was shocked to hear of Michaels suicide. This band will forever be one of the biggest and brightest stars of the 80's / early 90's. This is an awesome song although my favorite would have to be "Suicide Blond"

I don't think I'm familiar with Easybeats version, but I love this as well as about 90% of their stuff, especially the aforementioned "Suicide Blonde" and their big dance club breakthrough, "Original Sin."

This tune reached #47 on the Hot 100 in 1987 and it was INXS' only collaboration that was released as a single even they would record songs with Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders and Ray Charles later on in their career
