I remember when MTV played 100 videos in a year. :)

Those were the good ol' days. I loved/liked a lot of those videos on both the MTV and VH1 lists. I couldn't even make a list of my fave videos each year since so few are actually shown on those channels.

How often on the channel would they play music videos.  Now it's ONLY early AM hours and THAT'S IT!  I do have a tape of Making the Video for Britney's "Slave" video.  After the airing of it, MTV had a 1 hour block of videos between TRL and Direct Effect.  Also, I remember music vids airing in the mid afternoon during the summer and it was hosted by Hilary Bunton(??).  So, if that's what MTV was in 2001-02, 1996 must have been awesome (the cool MTV shows used to air then too...Beavus and Butthead, Daria....I think Yo! MTV Raps, Unplugged, etc)

I used to tape these top 100 lists of the year or all time whenever they aired on MTV and Vh1's History Of Music Videos A-Z. back in the 90's

Ironically, I still have all the tapes from Vh1 A-Z special from the mid 90's with nearly all the videos that were played still on there.
