We'll probably hear a lot of this song on AC stations between now and December 31. Even the all-Christmas stations are playing it.
I really like it. Great storytelling in this song.
Title modified thanks to Chris' correction of my error.

I love the song, as well as the story too, about a guy running into an old flame at the grocery store, then talking with her, feeling a little hurt that she was already married, albeit to a guy who she didn't really love, but he was apparently well off (he kept her warm and safe and dry). She tells him that she sees him all over the record stores and was happy he was doing well. He says that it's not all fun and games, especially the traveling. Then, when they say goodbye, he feels the pain he did when they broke up and then the snow turns into rain. Must be that ol' Gulf air!

Good song... features a bit of "Auld Lang Syne" played at the end, after the snow turns into rain. :)

I really like it. Great storytelling in this song. Heh, this is the song you end up crying to if you don't find someone to kiss at midnight on New Year's. I'll admit that even though it gets trotted out year after year, and some people consider it cheesy, it still gets to me every time I hear it. It is a good story, and very relatable to looking back on the year past.

Yeah, we hear it more often throughout the year, than we see you post comments as long as that one, lol.

Title modified thanks to Chris' correction of my error. Now you just need to modify the artist (it's Fogelberg). ;)

This tune by Fogelberg reached #9 in 1981 around Valentine's Day

The best part of waking up, is Folgerberg in yer cup.
Hearing it this past Christmas made me reminisce. I had the very same experience of running into a former girlfriend on Christmas Eve 1988. Only my experience was at Shopko, and didn't involve any conversation. I just kept on walking as I saw her smiling at me.

Great song. I agree that it's great to hear any time of the year, not just the holidays.
