The theme from the movie "9 1/2 Weeks". I remember being oh so surprised when this song took a huge dip from #23 where he peaked to #39 in 1986. Even though the soulful gem had a short chart life I never forgot the hook being catchy as all ghett out. He is the bassist for Duran Duran.
#23 Hot 100 #21 CHR/Pop

I remember this catchy song. First time I heard it, I was singing it all day, although the lyrics were different, since I'd interpreted it as "I do what I do, what I do, I do. I do wha-hat, I, I do".
Its chart run on R&R was not as weird as that on Billboard, although it hit a brick wall rather quickly, its chart run being 38-29-26-25-26-39-off.

It was okay.
Although from the superior movie, it doesn't compare to fellow Duran member Andy Taylor's hit "Take It Easy" from the movie, American Anthem

Yeah, I like that song, too. Its chart performance was similar to "I Do What I Do", except it sort of just came to a stop instead of hitting a brick wall.

This was OK.
I'm a huge Duran Duran fan, but not necessarily for the solo projects.
I liked the group projects better like Arcadia and Power Station.

I love this song, and used to be told when movie was popular, that i reminded several (over 10) people of Mickey Rourke. I don't know if that was meant as a comp or not.
