I love 1985 and 1986 mostly when it comes to music. I believe Nile Rogers produced the record. I was kinda crushed when the song did not peak higher. This was her last pop sounding top 40 hit, the rest of the either failed to hit the Hot 100 or missed the top 40. And no, I am not talking about her duets with Prince either.

Did Hall & Oates remake it?

I vaguely remember this song, but I remember that I wasn't too impressed with it. It reached number 28 R&R. I liked Sheena's 1981 hits and her 1983 hit (uniquely spelled) "Telefone (Long Distance Love Affair.) I, however, hated her 1985 hit "Sugar Walls." Just heard it a couple of weeks ago, and wondered how that could have been a hit. Just my opinion though, many people obviously felt differently. The Hall and Oates song was NOT a remake.

I'm always bias towards any Sheena Easton song after seeing her perform in Las Vegas.Β I agree with Pete that I didn't like the music direction she was taking with Sugar Walls.
This song's strongest asset was the Extended Dance Mix.Β I liked the remix version more than the single version. Oooh that's was a good version.
The "Do You" album also had the overlooked song "Jimmy Mack".Β Yes, the 60's remake of Martha & The Vandellas.Β She did a great job with that song.Β

I like that song, too, but was very upset that it didn't get enough love in top 40. In fact there was one little oversight in both top 40 and urban she had one hit that came out in '89 called The Lover In Me in which LA & Babyface wrote. That song did very well. Do It For Love would've done a lot better if Madonna would've took a rest once in a while.

Fun song. It sounds similar to Madonna's Like a Virgin singles but that's probably because Nile Rogers produced those songs too.
