This is from Eric's 1999 album "A Day In The Life", not his debut. I love this song!! Nice remake.

I <3 this song.
I remember watching the video weekly on VH1's Soul late nights.

Good, but I like Toto's original better.

Thanks for posting this version, but I don't really like it.
I'll take the original by Toto (f. Cheryl Lynn) instead. Jeff Porcaro lays down a smooth and solid groove (as usual). Most people probably wouldn't believe that Toto actually wrote and performed the song originally.

I prefer Toto's version too, even tho most of that debut album sounds like weak quarterflash. well, i do like "hold the line" too, and "I'll supply the love" and some sappy rock instrumental, i think is called "children's anthem" that sounds like it was created for pregame introductions to a basketball game.
luther vandross was in a band that did this song as well, i forget the bands name, but they used to play it here for a little while, and his version is on a smooth grooves disc i think.

made top 20 R&B, the video is really really cool and got a lot of play... it was a really nice song, they sounded great together. saw a live performance of it that was awesome. of course it didn't do nearly as well as the follow up 'Spend my life' ft. Tamia

It's okay. "Spend My Life With You" was a million times better. That's my favorite Eric Benet song.

This was a great laid-back jam...Great call & response between him & Faith. In fact, the whole album was pretty good. I especially like "Love Of My Own" and "When You Think Of Me"

I like the Hurricane CD. Wondering why it's received no promotion whatsoever.
