I don't know if there is a thread on this song already, but I didn't find anything when I searched.
I have heard the Mike Rizzo version before, and I liked that. I was wondering if this mix or other mixes were available on any single. And was there an original mix of the song, or were there just remixes of this song?

There was an original version that appeared on the single along with B-side There For Me. I don't think any of the remixes appeared on the single.

This was really horrendous. Her voice was so bad in the 1999-2002 period that she couldn't even sing her own signature song anymore. "There For Me" wasn't that great either. I'm not a fan of any of the three songs she wrote with Diane Warren. "There For Me" in particular is just totally overproduced and sappy with hoarse vocals, but that's the Rainbow album for ya.

Pity it didnt have a commercial release and success. A little sidetrack, there was this country or christian singer who did his own version of TFM, which in my opinion really sucked. I remember it was extremely overproduced with stupid synthesized sounds.

Totally unnecessary!
I only bought it because I'm a fan, but she never should have done this medley. Each song was great the way they were.

What do you guys think about it? s31.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0XC5N6YVCUTKD16ZD5XOWH59FB

That is Jody McBrayer's version of "There For Me." I really like it! He has a very theatrical voice which sounds a little bit like Clay Aiken if you ask me. You can say what you want about the lyrics to “There For Me,” however one thing you can’t deny is Mariah’s vocals are incredible. Out of the three songs she wrote with Diane Warren, this one is easily the best.

I think this song was terrible to death. Mariah's voice sounded great on the original Hero and the original NTF (though it was a crappy production job)... But this record sounded like death.
I agree with whoever said that her voice was awful in the 1999 - 2002 period (though I would include 1998, when she released ISB and WYB)

I think her voice was just fine on "I Still Believe". I love that track.
I have heard this one a few times, it was good.

I always thought Never too Far was one of her most soulful performance since her debut , her delivery in this song was good...however the song itself was just ok

I liked it but it sounds like a typical Mariah ballad.

There For Me is a wonderful ballad. Mariah's voice was off in the recorded version of Never Too Far/Hero. But I really do like it.

I like Mariah in general, but I'm not a fan of this.
