- YARBROUGH & PEOPLES "Don't Stop The Music"
- WHODINI "Freaks Come Out At Night"
- WALTER MURPHY "A Fifth Of Beethoven"

- THE REAL THING "Can You Feel The Force"
- STRAFE "Set It Off"
- NU SHOOZ "I Can't Wait"
- TIMEX SOCIAL CLUB "Lean On Me"
- STEVIE WONDER "Do I Do"
- JOCELYN BROWN "Somebody Else's Guy"
- SHANNON "Let The Music Play"
- QUINCY JONES "Ai No Corrida"
- GEORGE BENSON "Give Me The Night"

- MACHINE "There But For The Grace Of God"
- UNLIMITED TOUCH "I Hear Music In The Streets"
- JOHNNY GILL "Rub You The Right Way"
- RALPH TRESVANT "Sensitivity"
- EVELYN THOMAS "High Energy"
- CHAKA KHAN "Ain't Nobody"
- OLLIE & JERRY "Breakin' (There's No Stoppin' Us)"

You can hear most of those on Urban AC radio and some of them are staples.

I would agree on these ones:
NU SHOOZ "I Can't Wait"
STEVIE WONDER "Do I Do"
JOCELYN BROWN "Somebody Else's Guy"
QUINCY JONES "Ai No Corrida"
MACHINE "There But For The Grace Of God"
JOHNNY GILL "Rub You The Right Way"
EVELYN THOMAS "High Energy"
CHAKA KHAN "Ain't Nobody"
DENNIS EDWARDS "Don't Look Any Further"
Jocelyn Brown is still a staple in dance clubs though. "Don't Look Any Further" has been covered by many others, including a #1 dance club version by The Kane Gang in the 80's, as has "Ain't Nobody" (a #1 in the UK by LL Cool J).
BTW "Ain't Nobody" was by Rufus f/ Chaka Khan, and "Lean On Me" was by Club Nouveau and not Timex Social Club (a one-hit wonder with "Rumours").

"Constant Craving" is good too.

How about "Charms" by the Philosopher Kings? Or "Sister" by Nixon?

I've only ever heard these (and part of "Constant Craving"): - NU SHOOZ "I Can't Wait"
- SHANNON "Let The Music Play"
- JOHNNY GILL "Rub You The Right Way"
- BELL BIV DEVOE "Poison"
The first two I hear semi-regularly on Joe FM - Nu Shooz more often than Shannon. The latter two I hear pretty regularly on WIOG's 90s @ Noon hour. "I Can't Wait" and "Let the Music Play" are really good. "Rub You the Right Way" is pretty good. "Poison" is OK - it's better than "Do Me!" (which is AWFUL!) but otherwise it's just average.

I would agree on these ones: CHAKA KHAN "Ain't Nobody" DENNIS EDWARDS "Don't Look Any Further" I hear these two on urban AC quite a bit.

One of my local AC stations has even started playing "Ain't Nobody" out of nowhere lately.

These are songs that I think don't get enough props these days (even though some of them were actually sampled on some records). I really believe I may have been one of the first mainstream type people to buy this 12inch when I went one day to Rock & Soul records with my paycheck to make my bi-weekly splurge on some new jams. It didn't catch on in the clubs or radio (KISS or BLS) til about 5 months after it was sitting comfortably in the rack there. A long time friend of mine used to work for Strafe and was in contact with him until a couple years ago. Strafe does a cool version of Kokomo's "I Can Understand It." (well it's really Bobby Womack, but Kokomo is known for the late 70's version.)

"Innocent Child" by Colorhaus should also be on the list.
