Remember this JAM featured on the TV show "Ghostwriter"? The hot music video was aired on MTV within the show! What a smash! Remember when some meanie was trying to sabotage Lenni's first music video? They poured glue on the set and all of them were stuck! I liked how Lenni came up with the song. She wrote down words and cut them into pieces and started playing around with it. Nowadays, we call that magnetic poetry! Also, Salt-N-Pepa made a cameo in one of the episodes. You gotta believe and reach for the sky You gotta believe and let your spirit soar high You gotta believe let no one stand in your way And your dreams will be realities Someday... I taped that episode and use to watch the music video over and over and over again. I remember there was a part when the gang was talking about climbing over obstacles and going around them. There was even a rap!

I remember watching Ghostwriter when I was younger and having seen this entire story arc. This isn't the Marky Mark song, is it? That's what I thought when I saw the title "You Gotta Believe" listed on his chart page on chartboy's site. In truth, I have no idea - but I did do some research, and haven't found any other reason to think that it would be the same song.

I remember that music exec lady saying this song had "real zizz in it!" If I recall correctly, that actress would later, at one time, be a co-host of TBS's "Dinner and a Movie" feature. I remember watching a DAAM featured movie one night a few years ago and recognizing her. Also, the exec from the rival record label (who would ultimately be this story arc's main villain, if I'm not mistaken) was played by Robin U. Leach!

And Hector went on to an edition of "The Real World" where we found out he is gay! I liked his rap in the song (I think he had one).

This song was soooo much fun! I thought I was one of the few who loved it too! It's been years since I have heard this!

And Hector went on to an edition of "The Real World" where we found out he is gay! I liked his rap in the song (I think he had one). I actually didn't find that out until yesterday, when I was curious to learn what he'd done since (of the main Ghostwriter cast, he's the only one with a separate Wikipedia article, even if it is only a stub) - yeah, that was quite a surprise. For the record, I have never watched any season of The Real World. Supposedly, he was thrown out by his parents when he was only 15. :( He was born in 1979, and Ghostwriter ended in early 1995, so those two events were fairly close in proximity. What amazes me is that, if I recall correctly, Hector was supposed to be a bit younger than Jamal, Alex, and Lenni - but the truth is that the actor who was Hector, Willie Hernandez, is almost a year older than the actress who was Lenni, Blaze Berdahl. A couple of other interesting facts: Jamal's father, only seen occasionally, was played by Samuel L. Jackson. Julia Stiles's on-screen career began in Ghostwriter. She played a girl named Erica in two story arcs ("Who is Max Mouse?" and "A Crime of Two Cities"). In the former, she was credited as Julie Stiles.
