Thought there was a topic on this, did a search and nothing came up. ??? Anyways this was the best quiet storm single off Stripped. Just a simple track that The Roots played intruments on. Definately I think this coul've been released to urban a/c.

It's one of my favorites on Stripped even if she just took a couple of Prince and Mariah tracks and threw them in a blender to come up with it.

I love this! It reminded me a lot of Mariah's Underneath The Stars when I first heard it.

This is one of my favorites from the album, too. Her vocals are so subdued and beautiful.
I absolutely adore it!

Definately has some Mariah influence. But she pulled it off w/o being over the top.

SO Mariah... Especially the "Love's Embrace" intro, or whatever it's called. Either this or "Walk Away" is my favorite from the album.

I thought alot of the tracks on Stripped were plain old average except for "Fighter", "Beautiful" and "Cruz" but I like this one. It's quite relaxing and her voice really shines in this.

It might just be my favorite Christina song ever. I played this song so many times back in 02/03.

Right along with "Walk Away" and "Soar" it's one of my favorite album tracks on Stripped. I love how soothing and restrained it is.

This was a standout on the album, they should have taken a chance and at least released this to urban to see what it would do.

I liked it when the album came out, now it sounds a bit dated for me, but is still one of the cutest songs from Christina...

This is an album track from her sophomore album, "Stripped." It was produced by Scott Storch and written by Scott, Christina and Matt Morris. It's one of her few songs (especially up until that point) where she showed restraint. She absolutely NAILED the vocal. So good.

This is probably my favorite song off that album. The restrained vocals, the spoken outro, and the melodies from the verses-pre-chorus-chorus are just dreamy.

There was another thread for this, and someone (I believe it was Jazzy) said that this sounds like she threw a bunch of Mariah songs in a blender, but that it was good.
I pretty much agree with that (it's like a successful attempt at what Bliss from Rainbow tried to be), it's also one of my favorites on Stripped. Her voice can be so soothing, I wish she realized that more and balanced out her usual style more.

Love this song. I was a nice R&B quiet storm jam that everyone I know loved. I know the placed the hell out of out during the STRIPPED era. Her falsetto was very Mariah and the influence was very noticeable early in her career but it still sounded like Christina.
I hope she can give some hot R&B jams on this next time. I need more songs like this and "Impossible".

The production on this is ACE. People always give Scott so much sh*t, but he was such a versatile producer. Album highlight and her vocal is on point.

I like it. I get Erykah Badu vibes from the arrangement. It's like something from the Baduizm era.
