What an overlooked song. I don't believe she ever had any kind of solo album, but she had a couple of songs on Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle Allstars compilation. Don't let that fool you, she has a killer voice, and this track is just too funky and retro to miss. Should have been a huge smash.
Also, the video was great as well.

Should have been a huge smash. Absolutely! I don't know if this was ever even really released to radio. I saw the video a few times on BET. This song was so funky and catchy and had crazy lyrics. Latoiya has done a few more mixtape tracks and collaborations with 213 and Anthony Hamilton, but she has yet to put out a studio album. She was signed to MCA Records in 2002, but then they folded. I LOVE her voice.

I think she's great for hooks or backup singing, but on her own it... doesn't work. Maybe for a musical or something haha. Or a TV theme? I do like this song though.

I remember seeing this video and thinking what the hell? but the song was great. I love her voice, its very unique. I also love her old school style. You can tell that shes heavy influenced by the 70s which I dont blame her because music at that time was Oustanding. I was glad to see her make an appearance on Anthony Hamiltons album. Latoiya Williams is a Diva that never was.

Any word on Latoiya? Her voice is too good to waste. Hopefully she's found another record deal.

I loved it then and love it now. I didn't get the retro feel of the song until I saw the video. Latoiya's voice is similar to Tweet's.
Here is the video:
