My second fav Sade track, and one of their more overlooked tracks IMO. Classic torch song, and one of the few tracks where Sade busts loose vocally. Didn't peak high on any chart (#55 R&B), but I don't believe it was ever officially a single, although it did have a video. The live rendition is stunning as well.

It had was a single actually, it debuted in the 70s on the R&B chart. During that time it was impossible according to Billboard's citearia, for a song to reach that chart without it being an official single available in any format to consumers. I cannot believe it peaked sooo low. It's an unforgettable song. One of the greatest break-up songs ever! I think a number of Urban stations still spin this on their "quiet storms".

Yeah, I guess I could have worded that better. What I meant to say was that it was never intended to be single. I read an article somewhere stating that radio picked up on the song and started playing it quite a bit. So a single was released last minute, but it was never fully promoted as one.

My absolute favorite Sade track. Positively gorgeous! It's like they reached back into the 1940s and pulled out a never before heard torch ballad that someone like Sarah Vaughan would have sung. Sade gives a devastatingly beautiful vocal interpretation of the lyrics. They have such a strong catalog but this song stands head and shoulders above the rest. One of my all time favorites.
