Complete opposite song from "Separate Lives" her massive #1 hit with Phil Collins...
I really liked this one a lot... loved the rock edge and the amazing vocal on it... Reached #18 on R&R and #28 in Billboard in 1986...
One of those songs I'd love to find on CD which I don't have...

You know I never ever heard that song even when it peaked in 1986. I knew who she was and where it peaked however. You see when I heard of of this song, Gary Byrd the US DJ at the time in NYC broadcast the US chart show in early 1986 and counted down the Billbaord top 40 before switching to R&R. Anyway when did the countdown it was completed within two hours. He skipped over this song since it was in it's declining stage. It took me 19 years to finally hear this song. I got a hold of this and enjoyed it on December 21st. And now someone else is putting this up as a topic, wow, kinda weird, but cool!

I guess it was quite a long time then for you between Marilyn Martin songs... I'm glad you enjoyed it... just absolutely love the sound of this and her vocals... I would have started a thread earlier, but I wanted to go through all of the other songs on threads before I started my own... I just need to get this on CD... I thought I had it, but in thinking about it, I now realize all I have is the 45 which I played a ton (actually I should say I put it on tape and played the tape a ton)...

I do remember this one, but it's been 20 years now (since it is 2006) since I heard it.

I just bought the 7" single last summer. I'm surprised this didn't peak higher on the Hot 100.

I like it. Much better than "Separate Lives". I like her version of Stevie Nicks' "Sorcerer" too.
