A #37 hit from the Little Ol' band from Texas in 1983... and the first top 40 hit from their mega-Platinum smash, "Eliminator"... also had the top 10 hit "Legs" and the near top 40 hit, "Sharp Dressed Man".
One of those timeless songs from a timeless band...

I even heard this on a country radio station before. OK song. I wasn't aware, though, that "Sharp Dressed Man" didn't hit the top 40.

I thought for a long time that this was a bigger hit. Just about every weekend in 1984 I would hear this at a video arcade which put the NRG into my video game playin skillz!!!

This song was used in the movie The Santa Clause, although I always wondered if they meant to use "Sharp Dressed Man" instead (it makes more sense in the context of the scene).

I really like this song. I don't really care for "Sharp Dressed Man" because melodically it sounds too similar to this song.

The video is a classic and it really launched their image to mainstream America in the early 1980's.

One of my favorites from ZZ Top. Just as good as "Sharp Dressed Man".

40 years ago this week, "Gimme All Your Lovin" debuted at #79 on the April 2, 1983 Billboard Hot 100. This peaked at #37, but it's considered an 80s classic today. 2013 live performance: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimme_All_Your_Lovin%27#2 Rock #9 Ireland #10 UK #39 Canada #43 Cash Box
