Decent song from the summer of 1990, that was their only chart hit here in the US. Kinda reminded me of the childhood crush that I had mentioned in a thread over in the Lounge forum a couple of months ago.

I remember this song... only ever heard it when it was played on AT40 and CT40, though.

It was from their "wack" album "Trust" which BTW never made the BB Top 200 Albums Chart. There was only a couple of decent tracks on the album. "Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away" sounding like "Sacred Emotion" by Donny Osmond and the single. They worked with a few US producers such as Sturken & Rogers (Donny Osmond, now Javier) & Jeff Lober (Karyn White) who have also worked with R&B artists. I think that their "Get Even" LP sounded much better having worked with the UK producers Phil Harding & Stock, Aiken & Waterman. Despite their commercial US disappointment their second and last LP pened much soulful.

I vaguely remember this song, only that it spent very few weeks on CT40.

This tune got to #27 on the Hot 100 in 1990 and it was a flop in Britian where the group was from
