I'm sure some of you are too young to remember this, but this is one of the true soulful classics that really did something for this Harvey, Illinois group. It was originally released in 1965 on Vee-Jay and went as high as #23 on the R&B charts. Three years later, it was re-issued on Cadet in 1968 reaching up to #10 on the pop charts and moderately did exceptionaly well in R&B the second time around. A true classic to its form.

My unlce turned me over to this song. He was telling me how music use to be good back then, you know how older people get going on about the good old days. Well anywho he was playing this song and I was like this is pretty good. Then he started singing and going on about how much he loved the song.

This is a pretty good song, but not one of the Dells' best performances IMO.
