Does anybody miss Rita Sever? I never watched "Friday Night" episodes with the original host because I was too young. I came to know the spunky Rita when I was a little chick-a-dee without cable and wanted to watch music videos. I once emailed her begging for Billie's "She Wants You" to win the jukebox so I could watch it. Billie was not famous at all but she had a chance since she was up against weak videos. Surprisingly, Billie won jukebox by 1%! I wonder if Rita rigged it for me. Sadly, Rita could not rig the "Honey To The Bee" video since it went up against the debut of Christina's "Genie In A Bottle." "Honey To The Bee" fell down the radio charts and never made jukebox selection again. :( Rita was super hot! When NBC canceled "Friday Night" (in its season with the BEST ratings yet), she made a parody of P!nk's "There You Go" to make fun of the NBC studios. You go, girl! Friday Night: 1:30 a.m. Saturday (mornings). RIP! www.ritasever.com

Do you think Rita got her job because she was married to a NBC exec? Also, do you think she got her job because she was sexy and that's what late night viewers want to see? ??? Watch her hilarious "Oops! I Did It Again" parody! www.ritasever.com/

I remember the show. I remember her parody of "Baby One More Time". So funny.

I miss this show so much! I still regret not watching every Friday night. Her skits were funny and the video battles were fun. One time I voted for Dream, I think.

I miss this show so much! I still regret not watching every Friday night. Her skits were funny and the video battles were fun. One time I voted for Dream, I think. One time Shawn Colvin was in the jukebox, and I voted for on the website so many times, until she had over 90% of the online vote, but she still didn't have enough to win cause there was a lot more phone vote. But Rita said "because she got so many votes online" they showed a live performance of Sunny Came Home.

^I remember I got all the Spice Girls fans to bombard "Friday Night" with votes when "Holler" debuted. It wasn't even on MTV yet. It won the online poll by a landslide. "Holler" still won the jukebox but not by as much. I think they just wanted to make it look more fair and say it got less phone votes. The online voting was weird cuz it was only open for the weekend after the show aired. And who would be calling in at the A.M.s voting for their favorite videos and parodies but me?
