I was wondering if any of you remember this freestyle dance group. They had a few moderate hits "Love Child", "Sincerly Yours" and they disappeared off the face of the earth. I was just curious because my mother just told me that they went to my baby shower because my father knew them and that TLC was in the limo and she saw them... (BTW she said it was before TLC was big.)

I loved them! "Take It While It's Hot" and "Victim Of Love [Drum Mix]" were my favorite songs by them. I miss them too. They were actually pretty good. TIWIH and SY still get a good amount of airplay here.

Oh, yeah. Strange part is that before they went onto the cover of milk cartons everywhere, they had their biggest hit, "If Wishes Came True". Thing I liked about the group was that they one of their members was named Margie.

Hooked On You and Love Child get a lot of airplay in the NYC area.
They were on milk cartons?

"Hooked On You" (the album version) is my favorite by them. First time I heard it on the radio back in 1987 my (then) brother-in-law made fun of the "eee eee eee" part.

My favorite song by them was "If Wishes Came True". That song was played a lot during the summer before I went off to college, as well as into my freshman year, so it brings back great memories, since I never hear the song on the radio anymore.
Moonshadow, I think that ct2874 was figuratively speaking. Since the author of this topic said that they (seemed to) disappear off the face of the earth, ct2874 said that they appeared on milk cartons, like missing children do after they seem to disappear (or they used to, anyway. Now their faces appear on the back of tax forms).

I should have added a winky-smiley to make up for the lack of being able to pick up on internet sarcasm. ;)
