Sorry, this slipped my mind yesterday. Three mystery songs from the 1990 episode of Reunion. All had male voices singing. 1) During the scene where Craig was in the bar. Lyrics: "...stars in your eyes. When you open your eyes..." It's mellow-sounding, with a "You and Me"-kind of vibe. 2) Plays when Aaron is waking up and finds the note "Go get her!" Has a rocky sound. Lyric: "One thousand tears, look at the mess I'm in..." 3) Plays when Jenna is looking at the pictures. The only lyric I could identify was "good times for a change..." This one also has a mellow sound.

Here's another one that might be a toughie. I'm pretty sure it's from 1978 (at least I remember hearing it a lot back then). I don't know any of the words, but I do remember that near the end, there was a refrain that went something like, "Ooh-a-rah, ooh-a-rah, ooh-a-rah, ooh-a-rah, ooh...". It might be by the Beatles, but I'm not sure. Does it sound familiar to anyone?

I don't think anything by The Beatles was released in 1978 (other than remakes by other artists), and your description doesn't ring a bell with any of their classic stuff. I feel like I should know this though.

Nope, I know "Let 'Em In". The reason I mentioned the Beatles was that I swore I heard the song in a montage of songs by the Beatles, but it might have been something else. As for other clues, I can't think of any except for that the "ooh-a-rah" refrain sounds much like ELO's "Don't Bring Me Down" (the part that goes "I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor...")

by clues, can you give us a song style. was it a foot-stomping rocker like the ELO song, (well thats not exactly foot stomping but u know what i mean) or an A/C leaning song like what America might do? Was it funk oriented like Slave or discoized like Donna Summer? I'm dying to figure this out...

It had the same beat as "Don't Bring Me Down", but IIRC, it was not quite as "foot-stomping".

It wasn't "Slipping Away" by Dave Edmunds from 1983 was it? It has that synth rock beat and Dave Edmunds rockabilly leaning in it.

It's kind of hard to think of all the hits from that time that sound Beatles-ish. I can think of "Turn To Stone", "Sweet Talkin' Woman" (both by ELO) and perhaps "Ebony Eyes" by Bob Welch. Can you think of any other clues that might make the song a little more identifable?

Heard this on Joe FM. Sample lyrics (from the chorus, I think):
"If I ever needed your arms to hold me, oh baby it's tonight If I ever needed your eyes to heal me, oh baby it's tonight"
Male voice. I'm thinking the song's called "Baby It's Tonight" but I can't think of the artist.

Oh, now that's interesting...they play that more than quite a few other bigger hits from 1990. And actually, it sounds more like an 80s hit than a 90s hit, IMO. Thanks.

Heard this on CIZL last week. It was on their 80's show on Saturday night.
"If I could wash my hands in your dirty water" "If I could bathe in your dirty water" "Ohh Ohh Ohh"
What song is that? I remember hearing it a long time ago. I like it.

"Dirty Water" by Rock and Hyde? It hit #61 in 1987.

"Ebony Eyes" by Bob Welch. Rats, I was just about to suggest this. It's almost a mission now to figure this out. Uli, it's not "Magnet And Steel" is it? I figure you would be familiar with that song because of its popularity.

I suppose the line after "I can't put up with it anymore" where Paul sings "no no no no no no" can kinda faintly match. Or am I grabbing straws?

I know "Magnet and Steel", but I don't know "I've Had Enough". I doubt that would be the song though, since "no no no" doesn't sound like "ooh-a-rah". But let me take a listen to that song and get back to you.

Here's one for you. It's an R&B song probably from the 80s. It goes "Tell me, that you still care." I asked someone and she thought it was M-Tune(sp?) but wasn't sure.

Heard this on WTBT. Female voice, sounds sort of like Madonna from very early in her career (like from when she was first hitting the pop chart or before that even).
Lyric: "Show me, show me you really need me/actions speak louder than words."

Laura Gross of KIIS fm in 1987 called them "wanna-bes". The Cover Girl with "Show Me"!

how about this: think it's an 80's dance song, female voice, can't understand first word of chorus (sounds like "cetera"), followed by "to the beat", repeated a few times, then "cetera-a-a-a" or whatever it is....heard it on a mix show a few days ago, but can't remember the verse. anyone?
nevermind; figured it out elsewhere--"Rock to the Beat" by Reese & Santonio (cetera=said rock)

Heard this a little bit ago on Joe FM.
This song mentions "don't drink, don't smoke," something about a "pound note, pound note," and mentions "goody two-shoes" at least once. The music has a drum beat that is VERY catchy. Sung by one or two male singers.
What is this song?

I like the very end of the song, where it sounds like they're about to kick into "Jailhouse Rock".

I actually thought it was the beginning to "Rico Suave".
