His first #1 single, way back in 1957. His second came twenty one years later in the spring of 1978 when he dueted with Deniece Williams on "Too Much Too Little Too Late."
Just one of pop music's most gorgeous ballads ever, this song transcends time, and should always be acknowledged as one of the greatest songs of anybody's generation, ever.
Thoughts?

I like some entries in this genre of music, but I'm not all that fond of Mathis. If it's something like this I want, it'll more likely be Ella Fitzgerald and/or Louis Armstrong, maybe some Jim Reeves, Lena Horne or Dooley Wilson.

I remember this well, from September 1957, when I was 14 years old. This gives me memory feelings of that time. Johnny Mathis has a very good singing voice in my opinion, with a beautiful orchestra and chorus to match. This is the kind of music I really like. Here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEH3uqbpsm8
