Mariah drops a line from this song in her latest hit, so why not celebrate the great song that it is? It was one of Bobby Womack's last hits, released in 1982 from The Poet. It went to #3 Black Singles. It's my favorite Bobby Womack single. Everything about the song captures the mood perfectly.

The only version of this song I'm familiar with is K-Ci Hailey's remake, which I really liked at the time. That cover is one of the few things with K-Ci Hailey that i like. The others are Jodeci's cover of Lately, and Crazy. I'm not really sure why I liked Crazy. I HATED K-Ci & Jojo's other big singles. |
