Inspired by Operation Desert Storm (which would be ending just days after this song was recorded), this was a song that brought me to tears everytime I heard it. On the original version of my charts, it debuted at number one (On the revised charts, it also hit number one, but it had the typical trip up the chart for a number one song). I have a feeling that, had the war gone on for a few months longer, this song would have done better on the charts than a #25 peak on the R&R chart and #11 on Billboard.

The thing I remember most about it is that once it was used as a Weekly Top 40 Challenge. And Rick's hint was that the artist was the same as the title. Garth Brooks was one of the participants.
