Another gem from 1988 from a duo of ladies who are fine in their prime in their seductive "rap pop" tune. However it fell way out of the chart and went as high as #36 or 38 and was forgotten afterwards. Radio had literally screwed this song over not giving much of a chance. If this has been posted, my apologies in advance. s16.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1TGR7K4OBKP992KU24EDM05609

My sister loved this song. I bought the 12" single, and later found the CD (and their followup album) for cheap.

I knew of that chart run the first time. Good job, mst3k.

R&R chart run: 39-36-34-33-36. I remember it debuting at number 39 the same week it lost its bullet on Billboard by moving up 1 place to number 47.
Very good song. I listen to it once in a while.

Pretty good song. I always got it confused with "Should I Say Yes" by Nu Shooz, which was charting around the same time and also only peaked in the thirties on R&R (I don't believe it quite made the BB Top 40).

For a song I only heard once, it wasn't a bad song.

I liked it back in the day, but it's not something that's unforgettable to me. I'd rather hear T'pau rap than these ladies to be blunt.

I also liked their first single "Magic Carpet Ride" (which was NOT a remake)... it was very very poppish! Their producer was the guy behind Stacey Q as well...
Bardeux's CD was actually pretty consistent too!

Liked this song a lot... a VERY underrated song that had a great hook and a seductive melody... should have easily cracked the Top 20... I liked "Magic Carpet Ride" too... still listen to it every once in a while...

Kind of a nice ballad for the time - didn't like the group's other stuff. It was a nice break from some of the really poppy electro pop of the time.

I think you hit the nail on the head... it was very "unique" sounding... but it didn't try to be anything that it wasn't... that was it's appeal to me.
