#32 Hot 100
And no it's not a classic for me as a matter of fact I was glad to see this song disappear from AT40. This is a boring song IMO. They say the same thing over and over. I guess what made the song a classic was the "Na Nas" and the live concert feel which really ruined it for me. Kinda reminds me of Red Box's 1985 hit "Lean On Me " (not a remake) which never hit the US charts and I like 10X more.

I don't really know what it was about that song I really liked... but it was one of my personal favs when it came out and I still give it the occasional spin today...

P-U-K-E! This was a huge hit worldwide. DJ Otzi and Hermes House Band "teamed up" for a cover of the song. Be afraid. Be very afraid! :o

I remember it since it did get a fair amount of MTV play. Cheesy song, but I remember liking it.

I like both of these songs and I bought them both when I was in Europe that year! I felt somewhat vindicated when the Opus song became a hit in North America (and went to #1 in Canada).

#1 in Canada... I didn't know that... Yet #32 here... sounds like the Amanda Marshall syndrome was in existance back then too...

The song peaked at #36 on R&R.
I found the song a tad irritating and didn't mind its low peak at all.
