Angela's big comeback. So many divas had hit songs around this time. Even Aretha had one (forgot the title). Treat U Rite is one of my favorites from Angela but it's not like I know many of her songs besides one of her biggest hits "Angel" which I love too. This song is real smooth but at the same time kind of upbeat. Definitely one of my favorites from that year. Angela's voice is really unique.

It might be my second favorite solo hit by her behind "Angel".

JAM! The lyrics are kinda funny but maybe they're not supposed to be (?)
So tell me, have I ever dissed you? And if I did it was because you deserved it I would never leave you Unless you gave me a reason too

Angela is my girl! She can blow a house down. LOL! "Treat U Rite" was OK, not my favorite by her because she strayed from what made her successful.

Love this song. Chuckii Booker was a really underrated producer. It's funny that this was actually kind of a move toward a more contemporary Urban/hip-hop kind of sound for her at the time, because it doesn't really give that impression anymore since R&B got a lot harder by the late 90s. "Treat U Rite" went to #6 R&B in the spring of 1994. It was her last hit. As much as I love this song, the album wasn't nearly as solid as her first two solo albums.
Live on the Donnie Simpson morning show (check out Angie Stone on backing vocals!)

This is good but it literally sounds like Chuckii Booker re-used the "Games" instrumental pretty much.
