This is one of the coolest/creepiest songs ever made. I'm sure the song made its debut long before 1996, but it fit perfectly into the "Scream" soundtrack. It plays during the scene when the town is closing down for curfew--kind of an ominous, dusk-like song. I think the the song has been featured on other soundtrack as well, but I'm really not sure of its history past that. Opinions?

This was Nick Cave still at his prime best. A prime best that, for me, ended with 1997's "The Boatman's Call". It was downhill from then on. And from what I've heard of his freshly released new album it isn't gonna be much different. :( As for "Red Right Hand", it was originally released on his very recommended 1994 album "Let Love In". It is indeed very cool and creepy at the same time. It has this vintage feel to it (especially the keyboards, which have a very psychedelic feeling to it), but doesn't sound like a throwback at all. Let's just say this is what we may call classic nouveaux. This is the kind of stuff Alternative/Modern Rock radio should be playing throughout the 90's instead of supermarket pop/rock like matchbox twenty and their ilk.

I love the clip that was played in "Scream" but when I heard the entire track it got a little wierd/repetitive at points. It's still good, whenever I'm in a twisted mood, I play it.
