#1 R&B singe Billboard 1989
I like both version both Al Wilson's and Peabo Bryson's, I bought the LP just for song because it was hard to find and truly this track is hard to find. BTW I bought Lp at a used store new, you follow me? Anyway I finally found the mp3 a couple years back and I have the longer version which is not on the LP but on the Anthology he had released.

I'm surprised I've never heard the Peabo version. I love Al Wilson's version. I'll have to try and see if I have a copy of it somewhere in my collection. I have a lot of Peabo's music.
My favorites by him are: "If Ever You're In My Arms Again" "Feel The Fire" "Reaching For The Sky" (my favorite)

It's possible that I heard it fifteen years ago, and just don't remember it. I hear songs everyday (especially on XM) that I don't remember until I hear it. I just can't hear anyone else singing this song, besides Al Wilson. Although, I've done primarily Urban AC most of my years in radio, I also did Country, Oldies, AC, and some Gospel, so there are alot songs I just don't remember until I hear them, or someone brings them up.

I have this on a vinyl 45, I can see if my engineer will put it into mp3 format for me, but it may take a while. Peabo does the song justice, IMHO.

I like it, but I still prefer Al Wilson's version.

I like it but definitely prefer the original. Peabo's was very AC-ized.
