does anyone listen to dusty springfield? she was HUGE in the 60's, but fell into obsurity in the 70's and early 80's. when she was featured on the pet shop boys single "what have i done to deserve this?"she regained fame and had a hit album in the u.k. shes my all-time favorite singer her biggest hits include: "i only want to be with you" "wishin and hopin" "you dont have to say you love me" and "son-of-a preacher man"

Agreed, especially Son Of A Preacher Man. Her 'Dusty in Memphis' was one of the greatest albums of the 60s.

I have a friend who's a huge fan. I like some of her singles.
Taylor Dayne covered "You don't have to say you love me" on her 1998 album "Naked Without You". It was a great cover! :)

Agreed, especially Son Of A Preacher Man. Yeah, that's probably the only song by her that I like.

great singer lesbian troubled woman Since posting this I have been very actively interacting with the Dusty Springfield fan board.. Amazing group of people. One guy sent me approximately 90% of Dusty's ENTIRE catalogue on CDR, and also a DVD of a BBC documentary not released on DVD( he burned it). I have also been given 3 full-length concerts that are unreleased on CD. The woman was astounding! There are some songs that are really complex and amazing... it is a shame that people don't know her past 2-3 songs, which frankly, are not her best! www.dustyspringfield.co.ukVery good link to more! Here's a link with amazing stories from her friends.. www.isd.net/mbayly/contents.htmMichael New Orleans
