This was not a big hit, but I thought it was one of the better songs to come out of the late 1990s. A really soulful ballad, with a great vocal performance.
I've always thought that Monifah was a great vocalist whose talent was wasted on songs like "Touch It." But on this one, you get to hear her at her best...

I have idea what song this is, and I only thought Monifah had 2 or 3 hits, with "touch it" being the biggest?

Monifah's hits were (and this is just off the top of my head): "I Miss You (Come Back Home)" "You" "You Don't Have To Love Me" "Touch It" ... You're right: "Touch It" was by far the biggest!

I use to love this song. Imo this was her best released single but it did the worse. I dont know what people were thinking but this was a whole lot better then her other singles. But you need to check out this song called "I'm Loving You". This wasnt a single but the song is Amazing. Monifah can sang.

This is one of her best. I agree her talent was completely wasted on "Touch It". The singles from her first album were her best.

I don't mind that her talent was wasted on "Touch It" so much as I wish her moment in the sun had come a little sooner. Like here. Or here. Here, too. Moods...Moments has its dull spots but a strong set of singles makes it worth a listen. Oh, and tell me she doesn't sound like Shirley Murdock.
