Joshjoel posted a topic about a Mike & The Mechanics song, so I decided to do the same.
This song is a classic case of "Third Single Syndrome". After two big Top Five hits ("Silent Running" and "All I Need Is A Miracle"), this song petered out at number 22, which is a shame, since I absolutely LOVE the song. It's definitely my favorite Mike & The Mechanics song.

I like this song.
Performed even more poorly on the Hot 100, where it only peaked at #32 (oddly, it spent four weeks at that spot).

I still hear it from time to time on the satellite stations. I remember watching the song slowly climbing all the way up to it's peak position. The lyrics are excellent and well written, however the song seems boring at the same time with little flavour. I was surprised that it lasted that long, really.

Very cool song. I actually like this better than their two previous hits.

I wonder if promotion got yanked on this song...it was, after all, released just as the Invisible Touch era was off to its big start with its title song hitting #1.

I always thought this song was a much bigger hit...it certainly should have been...

This is a great song, I also like "Word Of Mouth" and "Nobody's Perfect."

This song peaked at #32 for four straight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1986.
