Am I the only one who is totally in love with "Stronger" from Faith Hill's Cry album. The words, her voice, and the simplicity and raw emotion of the song is amazing. The song is Faith Hill at her best but so many people including fans overlooked the song. I don't understand why they didn't release it as a single after they saw that her singles weren't doing well at both pop and country. They had to go and release "You're still here", which sounds like a Pocahontas soundtrack reject. Sorry I just didn't understand what the fuss was about. It could've made the album sell even more because it would've appealed to both AC and Country Radio.

I was SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready for some new Faith! This almost ruined my high! :'( Well, you can listen to a live version of "Paris," which is suppose to be on her forthcoming album. Not too impressive though. I agree about "Stronger." It would've made a better single than "You're Still Here." "You're Still Here" was a horrible single choice and one of my least favorites on her album. Anyway, wrong forum for this post.

This is one of my favorite tracks from Cry had it been the second single, I think it would've gone at least top 5. By the time "You're Still Here" was released, I think country radio was so turned off by the album that nothing would've really hit, though I do agree that YSH was a horrible single choice.
If Faith had gone "Cry", then "Stronger", then "When The Lights Go Down" then "This Is Me", I think teh album would've done much better.

I don't really like this, but I hate the Cry album in general. I think they went with "You're Still Here" to try and combat the bombast of the first two singles. It was the most subdued thing on the album.

Anybody hear Wicked or Shadows? I have Shadows, it's dark..lol..
I love Cry and this is a great track. WB couldn't have done anything to get country radio to play the album. This would have worked at AC though after One went Top 10.

I have both "Wicked" and "Shadows" on CD, but I don't remember them all that well off hand. I think I remember liking "Shadows" better, but neither were among Faith's best work.
