You can tell this was from the mid 80s just by the beat and the instruments used in this record. I love it, I really never heard this before when it was out. (1986) I believe this one of their best upbeat songs along with "Electric Lady". I don't think Michael Cooper is singing lead on this record, but that's fine it givesthem a different sound.

Con Funk Shun is one my all time favorite groups. Their music just had that great feeling that puts a smile on face... whether it is an uptempo song or a ballad, their music normally will put me in a good mood.
Cooper admitted that when this song came out that the group was struggling due to the changing music styles and the group's demise was fast approaching. All of the members of Con Funk Shun did vocals as well played instruments. I don't have this song in my collection, so I can't tell you who actually sang lead. I think Maurice Starr who did some producing for New Edition, New Kids On The Block, and Hi-Five actually produced this track.
I like it. I just like the older stuff better... "FFun", "Love's Train", "Straight To The Heart", "I'm Leaving Baby", etc.
