This is a song that's been eluding me every since I heard it back in the Spring of 1999, on a bus ride back from New Jersey. I remember it was on Rick Dees or Casey's Countdown, and it was played as a brand new song. I'm pretty sure the singer(s) were foreign, (but I never caught the name of the artists) and I can only remember one line from it. It goes like this:
"It's all about the money, it's all about the dumdumdeedumdumdum, I don't think it's funny..." Seriously, that's how the song went. There wasn't anything special about it, but it was sort of catchy and since I only heard it once, I was curious to know if anybody else had heard the song or even knew anything about it.

"It's All About The Money" by Meja.
Can't tell you much about her, except she's the one who duets with Ricky Martin on his best song, "Private Emotion"

"It's All About The Money" by Meja. Can't tell you much about her, except she's the one who duets with Ricky Martin on his best song, "Private Emotion" thanks a whole bunch, dude. I just heard that song once and wondered what ever happened to it. And she did a duet with Ricky Martin too, whod've known? EDIT: I downloaded the song last night. Man, talk about major nostalgia. It feels like I'm back on that bus ride 5 years ago. Oh yea, and the song is pretty ok, albeit too short.

She also sang lead on a 1993 top 40 hit by Legacy Of Sound ("Happy").

I remember liking "All About The Money" at first -- I liked the beat and it had a slight alternative edge to it. I later got tired of it, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again...

She also sang lead on a 1993 top 40 hit by Legacy Of Sound ("Happy"). It bothered me on the countdown shows that when "All About The Money" came out, they said it was her first Top 40 hit. "Happy" was credited as "Legacy of Sound f/Meja." BTW, I remember Shadoe Stevens pronouncing her name as MAY-juh.
