I loved this song so much I went out and purchased the Neon Ballroom album right away. This is a tragically beautiful ballad with a classic late 90's Alternative-lite sound to it. The way the girl in the song is named Ana as a metaphor for anorexia is just brilliant.

I loved this song but not as much as their first sinlge "Anthem For The Year 2000" , I think was the name of it. Neon Ballroom was their best album to date imo.

"Anthem For the Year 2000" is another great song. I managed to play that one out when I got the album without ever being tired of it. My favorite song on the album however is "Miss You Love."

The only song I know I've heard from them is "Tomorrow". That was pretty good, but I have to think this and "Anthem For The Year 2000" are better. :(

What happened to Silverchair? They were very young when "Tomorrow" came out, and they showed such great promise.

I love this song. It's my favorite Silverchair song, though I've only heard a handfull of their songs.

This song makes no sense to me at all. All of Silverchairs singles and just about all the tracks from Neon Ballroom are so absolutely nuts that they're almost very enjoyable.

i love this along with practically everything else they released from Neon Ballroom silverchair is simply an amazing band.
now as for what is silverchair up to now... following their world tour the band has announced they are taking an indefinite period of time off, all members are currently at work on other outside things, but they will eventually get back to recording and touring.

And one of them gets to go home to Natalie Imbruglia every night.

I don't like most of their stuff, but I do like this one a lot.

Daniel's engaged to Natalie Imbruglia! There are fan-created rumors that she's preggers. :)
I like this song. My dorm friend is a big fan and she let me borrow "Neon Ballroom" to check them out. I like "Ana's Song" and what it's about.

Yes, I was listening to the album when I was exploring the city and "Miss You Love" did stand out. I also like "Do You Feel The Same" and "Point of View."
"Neon Ballroom" goes on my list of albums to buy the next time I'm on an Amoeba shopping spree. :)

Silverchair is probably among my top 10 bands of all time. Their best song is probably "Israel's Son". I also LOVE "Abuse Me".
"Ana's Song" is kinda boring. It's alright, but nothing special. "Tomorrow" is a classic.

I don't understand why there was such a fuss about this song. It didn't do any better than "Anthem," and yet this is the single that everybody remembers, next to "Tomorrow" and perhaps "Abuse Me."

I think this song relates to anorexia. I recall hearing that Daniel had it for a time. And it at least attempted crossing over to Pop.

My favorite tunes from Silverchair are Steam Will Rise, Freak, Miss You Love, Black Tangled Heart, Suicidal Dream, and The Lever. Right now, Silverchair are pretty much in chill mode at the moment. Daniel Johns has his Dissociatives project with Paul Mac and everyone else in the band is doing their own thing. They'll probably come back together in 06. Hell, after putting out an album the caliber of Diorama, I don't blame Silverchair going on a short hiatus. I think this song relates to anorexia. I recall hearing that Daniel had it for a time. This is pretty much common knowledge amongst most Silverchair fans. It was pretty big news and gossip down under.

This is the only song I've heard from them that I like. Then again, I haven't heard anything else from Neon Ballroom or Diorama. Everything I've heard from their first two albums is terrible IMHO, including "Tomorrow."

And it at least attempted crossing over to Pop. I'm adding to this. I remember hearing it on WIOG's Late Night Music Fight. The policy regarding the LNMF was you go 5 straight nights as champion and you retire undefeated. This won 4, so it looked like it would retire the 5th night. Except guess who their opponent was? 'N Sync & Gloria Estefan's "Music of My Heart", which meant no retirement for Silverchair.

This and "Straight Lines" are among their best.
