Cheryl Lynn is most known for "Got To Be Real" and some people even mistakenly call her a one hit wonder, but she had quite a few other big urban hits including the #1 "Encore". "Shake It Up Tonight" came out two years after "Got To Be Real," in 1981. I still hear "Shake It Up Tonight" on quite a few of the New York stations. She had better songs but this song had a great, catchy chorus. Cheryl was really a great vocalist.

My dad has it on an old cassette tape of songs recorded from the radio. I remember hearing this constantly on the radio in Phoenix, AZ. I liked "Fidelity" just as well which hit number 15 or 16 on the Urban Charts per R&R.
