I first heard Do Fries Go With That Shake way back in '86 from WJMI (then known as JMI 100).
It's definitely my fave George Clinton song. And now I can hear the song anytime I want! All I have to do is place The Best of George Clinton CD in my CD player, select Track 2, select REPEAT as the play mode. Then I'll hear the song as many times as I want to hear it.

What version is on GH? I have the 12 inch which to me is definitive version even tho I havent listened to this in at least 10 years!! I cannot believe there is someone else who knows this!! Great guitar riffs in this! " "Do Fries go with that shake?" aghhh ahhh! WOW OH WOW!! This hit #1 on my chart and it got no airplay at all in NYC area. and I compare this to the Barkays "You're Place Or Mine" which spent like 5 weeks at #1 on my chart with no airplay in NYC area either. Super call Jeff!!!

You two aren't the only ones. I remember the album "R&B Skeletons In The Closet" that year and played the hell out of that song. I haven't heard that song since I was working afternoons at a radio station in Tyler, TX almost three years ago. If I remember reading through the album credits at the time, Vanessa Williams lended her vocals to that track as well. I'm so glad the someone remembered that song.

Super call Jeff!!! I remember the Bar-Kays song peaking at number 16 on Walt Luv's countdown in 1985. It sho got airplay in Wichita, KS and of course BET. Now on George Clinton I heard this only while I lived in the UK on a number of "soul shows" on the radio there as well as the short-lived TV Series "Solid Soul" equilvelant (sp) to "Soul Train" in 1986.
