This group brings back alot of memories for from the mid to late 80's. I don't know how well Americans would really know them because when they released their second album in the US it bombed while selling over 500 000 in Canada. I don't understand why they didn't succeed though, I loved their singles off that album. www.musicbymailcanada.com/PlatinumBlonde/intro.html

Hee hee, I'm embarassed to say I discovered them from a Canadian penpal I signed up with through some 80s music magazine! :o I continue to dub my entire music collection to harddrive, and ironically, I had just come to their Alien Shores album last weekend! "Crying Over You" was one of my favorites of that year, and could've been a major US hit, especially after hitting #2 in Canada. "Somebody Somewhere" was okay; I think it got to #82 here, their only hit down below...and then of course, with that bombing, their label wasn't about to release another song, no matter how well they were doing up north. I even have the video on tape somewhere, recorded off TBS' Night Tracks--I used to stay up til 3 or 4 every weekend morning back in those days recording videos off there and MTV.
