... (Don't Let The Bells End)". I loved this very epic one five years ago. It only went to #2 in the UK that Christmas, beaten by "Mad World", the Tears For Fears cover by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules. youtube.com/watch?v=W-eslNwGXrIThe fact that a non-album Xmas single was released amid the Permission to Land hits was telling of how not even the band thought they'd make it much far. Their second album didn't do much, and now the Darkness are no more. It was fun while it lasted, though. "Come on, kids!"

A shame, really, I thought "One Way Ticket" was miles better than "I Believe In A Thing Called Love".

Man, I still love this song. This is where they had their Queen influence maxed out, on this track. It's even one of the few songs where the children singers fit well instead of just annoying me!

I can't think of any Christmas songs from the past ten years that are better than this. Even then it's not wonderful and "Mad World" was miles better, but this was definitely the heir to Slade and Wizzard's thrones.
