Oh yes, just when you thought it was safe, Uncle Kracker came back for a 23rd week.

Oh yes, just when you thought it was safe, Uncle Kracker came back for a 23rd week. The final update has yet to be posted, but it sure looks this way. After about 2 months out of the #1 spot, Drift Away crept its way back to the top. :o If it does indeed spend a 23rd week, it will tie the all time longest time spent at #1 for a song on any R&R chart.

I thought 22 was the record held by Smooth on Hot AC.

Did anyone happen to catch the final update? Was Uncle Kracker still #1?

Well, I don't know about the final update, but the current update shows Shania Twain at number one. How long was "Calling All Angels" at #1? Was it only one week? If so, it could become the first one-weeker in nearly six years. Of course, it could always come back. That's been the norm for the A/C chart for about five years.

Yes, last week is the only week Train has spent at #1 so far. That is, assuming they didn't return to #1 at the final update last night.

But as I said, Train could very possibly return to #1. We didn't think Uncle Kracker would and now look.
