Although I'm sure he meant no disrespect or animosity on his part in the course of his countdown show two weekends ago (Nov. 22nd/23rd), 'ACC' host Kix Brooks referred to Phil Vassar as 'Piano Phil' as part of his intro to airing 'I Would', acknowledging his considerable talents as a stellar pianist.
My question is does anyone know if there is a particular brand and/or type of piano which has been the industry standard in country music over the past 25-30 years, and is the most favored brand among studio musicians as well as singer-songwriters such as Mr. Vassar?
Please consider the stellar piano work in the following songs as points of reference when formulating your answers.
Last Day Of My Life---Phil Vassar
Seminole Wind----John Anderson
Stranger In My House---Ronnie Milsap
Live Like You Were Dying---Tim McGraw
Go On---George Strait
Every Light In The House---Trace Adkins

I think Stranger in My House uses a Wurlitzer electric piano or some sort of keyboard. I know some country songs use Steinway pianos, but I don't know if this is as standard as, say, the Hammond B-3 organ. Wurlitzer electrics are pretty common too.
