If anyone remembers this novelty father/son act, congratulations. If not, good for you, for your life won't get better! Anyway, with this Christmas medley, they notched their third and last ever #1 UK single, becoming only the third act in UK singles chart history to have hit the penthouse with their first three releases - Gerry & The Pacemakers and Frankie Goes To Hollywood having been the previous two.
And so it goes that "Let's Party" pretty much followed both "Swing The Mood"'s and "That's What I Like"'s formula; that one being a themed medley of oldies, joined together by a classic instrumental piece of music. In this case, it was the Joe Loss Orchestra's "March Of The Mods". And in case anyone is curious, here is the rundown of the songs used in the medley:
