This debuted at Number 26 last week and nobody knows or cares? I don't remember seeing Martina on Adult Contemporary before. www.radioandrecords.com/Charts/ac_Home.htm says "This One's For The Girls" is the second greatest gainer at +165 and the new single, "In My Daughter's Eyes," is the fourth greatest gainer at +147, which means she wasn't too far away from debuting twice in one week (Number 1 has 165 spins). It wasn't allowed in New and Active so it wasn't added by 10 percent of the panel, and it looks like syndicated airplay so it's possible no stations have added "In My Daughter's Eyes." Both songs' gains are more than the number of stations on the panel, so "In My Daughter's Eyes" must have gotten regular spins also and/or more than one syndicated spin during the week on the same station. "This One's For The Girls" got 16 adds and is listed as going for adds so today we'll see how many adds it got in its adds week.

People don't care because the song was sent to country over the summer.

They should've sent "I Love You" to AC a few years ago (Hmn... maybe they did, and it bombed ???)
I don't think either single - "Girls" or "Daughter" - will do well.
It's been some time since a country song has entered the AC chart. The last one was "Forever And For Always", unless you count "First Cut," but even that debuted over 4 months ago.
I think the hot new song on AC is Seal's "Love Divine". Most added at AC and Hot AC?

Originally I had only heard this song once, and it was ages ago, but now that AC is picking it up, I'm hearing it more, and it may make my chart soon.
I love IMDE!!!

She's definitely charted on AC before. On Billboard, "I Love You" peaked at #21, "Valentine" at #3, and "There You Are" at #15.

People don't care because the song was sent to country over the summer. I disagree with that logic. By that logic "I Hope You Dance" would never have been discussed in an Adult Contemporary forum and "Headstrong" would not be discussed in a CHR-Pop forum.

When he said "people" he meant radio listeners in general, not board members. Either way, I disagree too. AC doesn't care how old the songs that they're adding to their playlists are.

No, I meant this wasn't like an "event topic" because most people who cared already gave their opinions over the summer.

This is not a bad song. Kinda sounds like a mix between "Passionate Kisses" and "Kiss Me".
