^ I agree completely. I like Hook Up the more I hear it and am coming around to the idea that it could be a hit - what I did today was play MLWSWY and then HU and then SY back to back to try and picture what it would be like as if those were her first three singles and I was quite pleased. : )

Well, the only songs of those that are available commercially are AIEW and WYWBMD, so I guess those can be considered covers. If someone considers Hook Up and Save You covers, then by that definition, Breakaway and Miss Independent are as well. I guess it depends.

If they aren't available commercially they shouldn't be considered covers. If they were then so would all of the other thousands of songs that get sent to artists by way of a demo.

None of these songs are considered covers. They will be Kelly Clarkson originals.

The only way a song is considered a cover is if it was commercially released by anyone else before.

It's not out of the ordinary to have a singer do a demo for a song but then decide to give the song to another artist.
