It is.
I am a bit infatuated with this album already. I fully admit it.
The lyrics to Already Gone scream a certain Mr. Colton too.

Is this how she always comes up with a different sound on each album?
Thankful--->Breakaway--->My December is very different. But All I Ever Wanted is not so different from the three?

ryan tedder + kelly = classic! I agree. My favorites are the ones she wrote with him. After hearing the whole album, also, I have to say I am VERY HAPPY that only one song from Dr. Luke and Max Martin made the cut. The rest of the album is much better than My Life Would Suck Without You.

I don't really hear the country influences in 'Cry'; I get a pop ballad out of it. A very good one mind you and IMO it MUST be a single. I'm actually finding the Ryan Tedder tracks bar 'If I Can't Have You' to be the biggest letdown so far. :( IDK, maybe he's just completely lost on me as a producer.

FANTASTIC ALBUM. I always thought Pink, Avril & Katy all had their own style though they are in the same genre. Kelly had her big voice to represent. She put great use with it and at the same time, tries to channel all Pink, Avril & Katy in one album and the product is marvelous! This is all her previous albums mashed into one and what Kelly should be. I am more than satisfied, that's an understatement. I say this is her best album by a long shot. 'Thankful' was... well thankful I guess, not good enough. 'Breakaway' had a great first half but the second half was all fillers. 'Never Again' was good but Kelly went too far with the rocker chick image. 'All I Ever Wanted' is a balance of everything about Kelly. Her pop career, what she wants people to know her for and a incredible album to put into her catalog. I enjoyed every track and I don't think there's any dud on the record. My favorite has to be either 'Cry' or 'Already Gone', both which showcase Kelly's stellar vocals! 'I Want You' is endearing, 'I Do Not Hook Up' & 'Whyyawannabringmedown' brings the fun and quirkiness necessary for the album. 'Don't Let Me Stop You' and the ending track 'If No One Will Listen' are solid album tracks. I think I probably sound like a diehard Kelly fan in my LOL but I'm not and I absolutely can't stand the Kelbots I can't deny this is an incredible effort from Kelly and I love the album.

My December was a category on its own. If only for the fact that it was so personal to Kelly all her fans loved it before even hearing it.
This album is much better vocally, lyrically and production wise than Breakaway was. I hope it does just as well. It deserves it.

The album is good, but I like Breakaway better.
I Do Not Hook Up is awesome.

I'm gonna have to keep listening to All I Ever Wanted to form my concrete opinion, but the flick through I've done I've kind've thought it was okay but not amazing. Better than an Avril record though lol. I wanna keep listening but I'm obsessed with Don't Let Me Stop You, and I can't turn it off! I hate that Katy Perry demo, I do not hook up. Seriously, for MD kelly complained about the label trying to force her to Lindsay Lohan covers, and now Kelly is being forced to sing Katy Perry's rejects. I adore Kelly, so even if I hate all of this new album I'll still be buying it, but listening to it just makes me yearn for a more personal, less commercial record. I would've loved to hear her do the blues/country album she originally intended to do. I was blows away when those 4 demos originally leaked, and now to my knowledge she only used 1 for AIEW, and they censored the swearing in it! Seriously. Kelly might enjoy this new album as a 'fun' record, but it's not the record she would've made if she had full creative control.

Regardless if Clive forced her or not, this album is a lot better than My December If he really did force her than kudos to him.

Seriously, for MD kelly complained about the label trying to force her to Lindsay Lohan covers, Wrong. Kelly didn't have a problem with the Lohan song because it would be a cover but because it had been released on her album just one year earlier. Wrong. Kelly has said countless times in recent interviews that she really enjoyed Katy's writing style and that she felt I Do Not Hook Up was a song she could have written herself. No one forced her to record those songs, she hand picked them herself. It's funny how people think they personally know what Kelly would want or do and wouldn't want or do. She seems extremely excited/happy about the way this album came together and I am 100% sure most of the album is personal for her. BTW An uncommercial song does not equal personal.

Well, without a commercial sound, you wouldn't have "Don't Let Me Stop You" on this CD Anyway, I think the CD is freaking fantastic - she took some risks with this CD and went with a different sound. I can see why she didn't need another Dr. Luke song on here... because the rest of the songs are really good. I hope she has success, but regardless of what happens with this CD I love it and, as a die-hard fan, I am very happy with what I've heard. I would just like to know what huge-selling artist these days has 100% control over their albums? Even Janet, Mariah, Madonna, Celine, etc. all have to make an album that their label likes or they won't put it out. I just get so annoyed with people getting onto Kelly for being "too commercial" when she's a freaking POP ARTIST! She's given us no reason whatsoever to think she isn't proud of this CD... until she does, I will believe it when she says she loves the album (minus the Dr. Luke song, haha... kidding... kind of) :)

I'm listening to If I Can't Have You right now. It is one of the weaker tracks on the album. Repetitive, tuneless, dull, not catchy.

I love it when people assume Clive and everyone against her "forced" her to things. The thing is, the demos that leaked a while back that we weren't supposed to hear didn't sound anything like this commercial pop-rock sugarfest. Those demos represent the music that Kelly genuinely wants to be making. Of course she's going to be giddy and cheery about this album, but I still know that, if Kelly actually had her way, this is not what her album would sound like.

Those demos represent the music that Kelly genuinely wants to be making. So it's impossible that she would want to be making both commercial and uncommercial music? Why does it have to be one or the other? God forbid someone show a little variety in their music. Poor Kelly, her life must be a living hell, people left and right telling her what she must sing/write/like and people that don't even know her thinking they know her better than she knows herself.

There was no confirmation that does demos were for this album. Kelly's always recording new stuff. We have no idea what they were for. And, I don't think this album is bubble gum pop. The entire album isn't like MLWSWY. There's a ton of different sounds she's trying out. Lyrically, I think MD is much stronger. But I love MD and AIEW. AIEW isn't as personal as AIEW, but I think that both albums are Kelly. MD is Kelly's introverted, more reflective side, and AIEW is Kelly's extroverted, in your face side.

Singles should be: 1. My Life Would Suck Without You. 2. Don't Let Me Stop You. 3. Cry. 4. All I Ever Wanted. 5. Already Gone/Save You 6. I Do Not Hook Up/Impossible. That's my thoughts. I think most of the songs on the album could do something besides "I Want You" and "Whyyawannabringmedown." I want to play this game too. And I'll even give chart positions. 1. MLWSWY #1 Pop #1 Hot AC 2. I Do Not Hook Up #1 Pop #1 Hot AC 3. Cry #1 Pop #1 Hot AC #1 AC 4. DONT LET ME STOP #3 Pop #2 Hot AC 5. Already Gone #3 Pop #1 Hot AC #1 AC 5 or 6 x plat

I think "Hook Up" will do fine as the second single... I'm with Focus in that I'd like to see "Don't Let Me Stop You" get released... does anyone else think "Long Shot" would do well too?
